These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings made directly with North Lodge Glamping through our website, booking system, by telephone, by email, or through third-party booking platforms such as Booking.com and Airbnb.
By making a booking with North Lodge Glamping, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Making a Booking
A booking is confirmed once the required booking information has been provided and payment has been successfully received.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Where a guest chooses to use a third-party payment provider or instalment/payment service offered through a booking platform, the payment arrangement is governed by that provider. North Lodge Glamping does not offer its own instalment payment arrangements unless specifically agreed in writing.
The person making the booking must be at least 25 years old and must be authorised to make the booking.
The lead guest is responsible for ensuring that all members of their party comply with these Terms & Conditions.
3. Age Requirement
North Lodge Glamping is a family-friendly destination; however, all bookings must be made by a person aged 25 or over.
Bookings made by persons under 25 are not permitted.
We reserve the right to request proof of age where reasonably necessary.
4. Maximum Occupancy
The maximum number of guests permitted must not be exceeded.
  • Holiday homes/caravans: maximum 6 guests
  • Tents: maximum 5 guests
The number of guests staying must match the number stated on the booking.
Additional or undeclared guests are not permitted.
If more guests arrive than are included on the booking, North Lodge Glamping reserves the right to refuse entry to additional guests or require them to leave the property.
No refund will necessarily be provided where a booking cannot proceed because the guest has attempted to exceed the permitted occupancy.
5. Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in is strictly from 4:00 pm.
Check-out is strictly by 10:00 am.
Early check-in or late check-out is not permitted unless it has been specifically agreed with North Lodge Glamping in advance.
Guests should not arrive before 4:00 pm unless prior arrangements have been made.
Guests must vacate the accommodation by 10:00 am on the day of departure.
6. Cancellation Policy
Our standard flexible cancellation rate allows guests to cancel free of charge up to 7 days before the scheduled arrival date.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before arrival may be subject to the full booking charge.
Where a booking is made under a non-refundable rate, the booking is non-refundable and cannot be cancelled without the applicable charge, except where required by law or where North Lodge Glamping agrees otherwise.
Different cancellation conditions may apply to bookings made through third-party booking platforms. Where a booking platform displays specific cancellation terms at the time of booking, those terms will form part of the booking agreement.
Guests are strongly encouraged to consider suitable travel insurance to cover circumstances that may result in cancellation.
7. Changes to Bookings
Requests to change the dates, number of guests or accommodation type are subject to availability and may result in a change to the total booking price.
A booking cannot be transferred to another person without prior agreement from North Lodge Glamping.
8. Dogs and Pets
Dogs are permitted only in the holiday homes/caravans.
A maximum of two small dogs is permitted per holiday home/caravan.
No pets are permitted inside the tents.
Guests bringing dogs are responsible for ensuring that their pets do not cause damage, excessive noise, nuisance or disturbance.
Dogs must not be left unattended in the accommodation where this could cause damage, distress or disturbance.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and for any damage caused by them.
Additional charges may apply for damage or exceptional cleaning.
9. Children and Families
North Lodge Glamping is a family-friendly destination, and children are welcome.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising children at all times and for ensuring that children follow the site's safety requirements and rules.
10. No Parties, Events or Excessive Noise
North Lodge Glamping is intended for peaceful family holidays and relaxing stays.
Parties, events and gatherings are strictly prohibited.
This includes celebrations or gatherings that are likely to create excessive noise or disturbance.
No parties, hen or stag events, large celebrations or similar gatherings are permitted.
The maximum occupancy of the accommodation must not be exceeded at any time.
11. Quiet Hours
Guests must keep noise to a minimum from 11:00 pm onwards.
No excessive noise is permitted after 11:00 pm.
Guests are expected to respect other guests, neighbours and the surrounding area at all times.
North Lodge Glamping reserves the right to take action where guests repeatedly or seriously breach the noise requirements.
12. Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside any accommodation.
Smoking is permitted outside only, provided it does not cause a nuisance, damage or fire risk.
Guests must dispose of cigarette ends safely and responsibly.
13. Fires and Barbecues
Open fires, fire pits and unauthorised fires are strictly prohibited.
Guests may use the barbecue provided by North Lodge Glamping, subject to any safety instructions provided.
Guests must never create their own fire or bring/use an unauthorised fire pit or similar equipment.
14. Tents – Cooking Equipment
The small stove provided inside the tents is for heating purposes only.
Cooking inside the tents is strictly prohibited.
Guests must not use the stove for cooking or use any other cooking appliance inside the tent unless expressly authorised by North Lodge Glamping.
15. Decorations
Guests must not attach decorations, balloons, banners, adhesives, tape, glitter, confetti or similar items to the accommodation without prior permission.
Where decorations have been agreed, guests are responsible for removing them completely before departure and leaving the accommodation clean and free from any associated waste.
Additional cleaning or damage charges may apply where decorations or their removal cause damage or require exceptional cleaning.
16. Damage, Loss and Additional Cleaning
Guests are responsible for the accommodation and its contents during their stay.
Guests must report any damage, breakages or issues to North Lodge Glamping as soon as reasonably possible.
Guests may be charged for:
  • Damage to accommodation or furnishings
  • Lost keys or access devices
  • Missing items
  • Excessive cleaning
  • Damage caused by pets
  • Damage caused by smoking
  • Damage caused by parties or unauthorised gatherings
  • Any other reasonable costs resulting from a breach of these Terms & Conditions
We will seek to charge only reasonable costs arising from damage, loss or additional cleaning.
17. Prohibited Activities
The following are strictly prohibited:
  • Parties or events
  • Excessive noise
  • Exceeding the maximum occupancy
  • Smoking inside accommodation
  • Unauthorised fires or fire pits
  • Cooking inside tents
  • Bringing pets into tents
  • Unauthorised decorations
  • Any activity that creates a significant nuisance, danger or disturbance to other guests, neighbours, staff or the property
18. Breach of Terms
Where a guest seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms & Conditions, North Lodge Glamping may require the guest and/or members of their party to leave the property.
Examples include serious noise disturbance, parties, exceeding maximum occupancy, smoking inside accommodation, unauthorised fires or other behaviour that creates a significant risk or nuisance.
Where a booking is terminated because of a serious breach by the guest, no refund will ordinarily be provided, subject to the guest's statutory rights.
19. North Lodge Glamping's Right to Cancel
In exceptional circumstances, North Lodge Glamping may need to cancel a booking, for example because of circumstances affecting the safety or availability of the accommodation.
Where we cancel a booking and cannot offer a suitable alternative, we will provide an appropriate refund of payments made for the affected booking, subject to applicable law.
20. Liability
Guests are responsible for their own safety and for supervising children and pets during their stay.
North Lodge Glamping will take reasonable steps to maintain safe accommodation and facilities.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Guests should take reasonable care of themselves, their party and their belongings during their stay.
21. Personal Belongings
Guests are responsible for their own belongings.
North Lodge Glamping is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to guests' personal possessions except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Guests should not leave valuable possessions unattended.
22. Complaints
We want guests to have an enjoyable stay.
If you experience a problem during your stay, please contact us as soon as possible so that we have a reasonable opportunity to investigate and, where possible, resolve the issue during your stay.
Complaints raised after departure may be more difficult to investigate or resolve.
23. Third-Party Booking Platforms
Bookings made through Booking.com, Airbnb or another third-party booking platform may also be subject to that platform's terms, payment arrangements and cancellation policies.
Where there is a conflict between these Terms & Conditions and a specific mandatory term imposed by the booking platform or applicable law, the applicable platform term or law will take precedence to the extent required.
24. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.
Any disputes will be dealt with in accordance with applicable Scottish law and the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts, subject to any rights the guest may have under applicable consumer law.
